Nestled in the foothills north of Prescott, AZ, Covey Ridge Arabians is a small, family run breeding facility.  We have been involved with Arabians since 1998 and have now begun the next chapter as breeders of these beautiful horses.

We specialize in breeding purebred Arabians that express the Sabino pinto gene.  The Sabino gene is the only pinto gene found in the purebred Arabian.  Although this gene is found in many breeding lines, it is usually only expressed as a large blaze with white on the lower lip and "high whites" on the legs.  There may also be disconnected white on the legs, white under the chin and throatlatch, and belly or body spots.

While we focus on maximizing the expression of this Sabino gene, we first pay very close attention to conformation, attitude and athletic ability.  We believe that an Arabian should be more than something pretty to look at in the pasture; they should have sound minds, good dispositions and the willingness and ability to perform the tasks asked of them.

Our broodmares have been carefully selected for their conformation, disposition, pedigree and athleticism.  Our mares come from such lines as *Karadjordje+++, *Serafix, Ruminaja Ali, Khemosabi++++//, *Muscat, *Aladdinn, *Bask++, Magic VF and Echo Magnifficoo.  These mares are suitable for such disciplines as Country English Pleasure, Sport Horse, Show Hack, Hunter, Dressage, Reining and Working Cow Horse.

The goal of our breeding program is to produce purebred Arabians with the type, attitude and athleticiscm you expect along with the added bonus of color.  You will be able to get all the flash of the pinto without having to compromise the quality of the purebred Arabian by outcrossing to another breed.
